Sonia Hsiung, Director, Canadian Institute for Social Prescribing

Sonia Hsiung directs the Canadian Institute for Social Prescribing (CISP), a national hub anchored within the Canadian Red Cross dedicated to bringing people, practices and research together towards integrating health and social care with focus on equity, community leadership and collaboration. Previously, Sonia led several initiatives with comprehensive primary health care teams in Ontario, including Canada’s first social prescribing research project called Rx: Community, a separate social prescribing initiative focused on older adults, and a vaccine outreach and promotion project funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada.

Bobbi Symes, Better at Home BC

Bobbi Symes, MA, CPG, is the Assistant Director, Healthy Aging at United Way British Columbia. Bobbi’s portfolio includes overseeing the evaluation, learning and quality assurance of programs within the Healthy Aging department. In particular, Bobbi leads the Social Prescribing initiative that includes 19 programs in BC. Bobbi has extensive experience in research and program management specializing in the areas of population health, injury prevention and older adults. One of the programs is Better at Home BC. Camille J. Hannah, Better at Home BC

Camille J. Hannah is the Provincial Coordinator for Healthy Aging at United Way British Columbia, an organization she has had the privilege to partner with for the last 11 years. In her role as provincial Better at Home portfolio lead, Camille bridges the non-medical needs of older adults living in B.C.’s communities with quality, place-based programs and services, helping to keep seniors living in their own homes for longer.

Additionally, Camille has a long history in project and operations management and many years of experience in communications with diverse stakeholder groups. Proudly holding her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, she is a trusted and reliable champion of the integrated standards and methodologies of all Healthy Aging initiatives.

Camille continues to be curious about how her skills can enrich the lives of people and communities.
