SSM Conference 2022 Registration

Topic: Home Supports: From Need to Reality. For the past year SSM has been raising awareness of the need for a home supports program in Saskatchewan. This year’s conference will examine the actions that we – as individuals, as communities and as a province – must take to create a new reality that ensures older adults can age where and how they choose.
Speakers include:
Dr. Samir Sinha, who will speak about the emotional, physical, and psychological benefits to older adults when they are able to remain in their homes and their communities, as well as some of the negative effects of prematurely being forced to live in an institutional setting
Dr. Gillian Ranson, who will talk about her research with older boomers who are on the brink of the late stages of aging and what they discovered about the need for individuals and communities to envision and plan for this stage of life.
