2023 Celebrating Seniors
SSM honoured the 2023 Celebrating Seniors Volunteer Awards nominees and award recipients during our annual awards banquet at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina on October 1, 2023. The evening was a showcase of the many older adults whose contributions are invaluable as they give of themselves to better the quality of life for others. We thank all of these volunteers for the contributions they make to their respective communities across Saskatchewan.
Our guest speaker was Evan Bray, former Chief of Police with the Regina Police Service. His personable style and his thoughtful words both inspired and entertained the audience.
Entertainment was provided by Jeffery Straker, along with Bryn Besse. Jeffery’s commentary and music was thought-provoking, memory-invoking, and enjoyable. Jeffery is one of SSM’s Home Supports Initiatives Champions, and we appreciate his involvement in this.
